Our puppies are handled from day one until leaving our home. The socialization process is begun through supplementing with fresh goats milk. Beginning grooming skills start with rubbing faces & feet during feedings and the sound of the clippers while running your hands over them. Actual grooming begins at 4 weeks, with puppies first bath, blow dry, feet, face and nail trim. This being a weekly process which readies the pups to stand for a groomer after leaving our home.
Puppies are temperament tested for placement in the appropriate homes. Potty training is started at 3 wks by paper being placed in the whelping box...graduating to the doggy door at 4 wks, and crate training during daytime grooming sessions and at night beginning at 7 wks of age. By the time of placement in their new owners' homes at 8 weeks, they are well underway in their training. Above all the handling, hugs and kisses will have them readied for their new environment and new family.
The following is a letter from one of the Veterinarians we work with:
The responsibility of a breeder includes being responsive to:
* Breed standards
* Genetic counseling
* Animal husbandry
* Above all high moral ethics
Debbie Euker exemplifies this criteria in the management of her kennel.
I have worked with Debbie Euker for many years and have had no misunderstanding, nor have I had any of my clients had any misunderstandings of any kind with her. I highly recommend Debbie Euker for her quality of animals and quality of care that she provides for them.
